My very first attempt at game development was for a university project. Using GameMakerStudio 1.4 I experimented with coding and animating in 2D pixel art. My main goal was to create a character controller (using physics) and different behaviours and archetypes for enemies AI. Programming with physics raised some issues, but ultemately allowed the movements to be smoother.

The result was a classic 2D Zelda-like RPG, with parry, dash and combat mechanics.
